RICS Homebuyers ReportA RICS Homebuyer Report, also known as a Home Buyer’s Survey, is a detailed report on the condition of a property. Included in the Homebuyer Report are findings on any items that affect value; a market valuation; and an insurance valuation.
The Home Buyer’s Survey uses a “traffic light” system to grade each building element. Elements rated green require no repairs; those rated amber require non-urgent repair; and those rated red have serious defects. This system makes the Homebuyer Report, or Home Buyer’s Survey, easy to understand.
You should consider commissioning a RICS Homebuyer Report when:
You are purchasing a property built post 1880
You require information on the condition of a property, including significant and urgent defects
You require a valuation in addition to information on a property’s defects
You want to check for potential legal issues surrounding a property. The RICS Homebuyer Report, or Home Buyer’s Survey, will highlight these issues.
With professionals based all over the UK, we can arrange your survey with a Surveyor local to you.
